Beginning your journey with Invisalign at Topsmiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is a seamless, patient-centered experience. Here's what you can expect:

Initial Consultation and Examination

Your Invisalign journey starts with a comprehensive consultation and examination with Dr. Alvaro Salles. This visit allows us to understand your smile goals, assess your oral health, and determine whether Invisalign is the right treatment for you. We will answer all your questions, address any concerns, and explain the treatment process in detail.

Digital Imaging and Treatment Planning

Should Invisalign be a suitable option, we proceed with capturing detailed 3D images of your teeth using cutting-edge imaging technology. This technology allows us to get an accurate representation of your current smile and helps us design a precise treatment plan tailored to your needs. We can also show you a digital representation of how your smile will gradually transform, step-by-step, and what it will look like upon completion of the treatment.

Fabrication of Your Custom Aligners

Once your treatment plan is in place, we send the digital impressions to Invisalign, where your series of custom aligners are fabricated. These aligners are made from smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible BPA-free plastic. Each set of aligners is unique and corresponds to a specific stage of your tooth movement plan.

Wearing Your Aligners

You will wear each set of custom aligners for approximately one to two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you progress through the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to their final positions, as defined by your treatment plan.

Regular Check-ins and Progress Monitoring

Throughout your treatment, you'll visit our office every six to eight weeks for routine check-ups. These visits allow us to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to ensure your treatment stays on track. Despite these regular check-ins, you'll likely spend less time in our office than with traditional braces, as there are no brackets to tighten or wires to change.

Transitioning to Retainers

Once your treatment is complete and you've achieved your desired smile, it's time to maintain it. We will provide you with a set of retainers designed to keep your teeth in their new positions. Like your aligners, these retainers will be custom-made for you, ensuring a perfect fit.
